The lid has a couple of scuff marks commensurate with it's age and some holes from cleaning and wear. It also retains it's original gilding to the inside.
The hallmark is still clearly visible with little rubbing.
A very useful box which would adorn a side table or a dressing table and could hold rings necklaces or cufflinks keeping them stored safely. This is also just a lovely affordable gift for silver lovers.
The glass base has no cracks or chips and is in good condition.
