This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. In 1951, Bowman issued a set of 108 colorful, beautifully illustrated cards that presented buyers with a serialized science fiction adventure - "Jets Rockets Spacemen." These boldly illustrated and garishly written cards are a perfect time capsule for those who might be curious about the beginnings of the science fiction boom of the 1950's! The set has remained popular with collectors ever since. This is card #72 from the set, captioned "Home to Manhattan." Condition on this one is acceptable, with a vertical crease and heavy corner wear (see scans for condition). Note that this card is from the slightly tougher middle series (#37-72). Pretty good for a card that's over seventy years old. This would be a terrific addition to any collection! Shipping will be combined for multiple purchases.
