The oval shaped frame is ornamented to the centre with a stunning shell cameo depicting a female figure in profile, facing the left.
The shell panel is framed with a scrolling border, incorporating forty-eight fine and impressive pavé set round faceted cut rubies, totalling 0.72ct.
The cardinal points of the brooch are embellished with three individually collet set Old European cut diamonds, completing the design.
This Victorian cameo brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening.
