Pasabahce Sultan Ahmet Mosque Square Obelisk Engraved Plate

This product, produced by hand using replicas of old Istanbul engravings, features Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Square, and Obelisk. The engraving was painted by the British artist Allom in the late 1830s.

The mosque, commissioned by Sultan Ahmet I, and the square surrounding it, include Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia Museum, German Fountain, Serpent Column, Milestone, Basilica Cistern, and Obelisk. The Obelisk, originally placed at the entrance of the Temple of Amon Ra by Pharaoh Thutmose III in the 15th century BC, took its place in Sultan Ahmet Square in the 4th century.

Engraving is an art form created by engraving on metal, stone, or wood plates and then printing the image with ink on paper.

This product, specially produced for Paşabahçe Stores, should not be washed in the dishwasher; it should be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth.
