This 78 RPM record by Junior Wells on the Chief label is a must-have for serious collectors of ‘50s Chicago Blues. A record of this age does not come around often in this condition. Worthy of the highest level of collections or the audiophile starting a collection of rare ‘50s music gems. Junior Wells was an iconic blues singer and harp (harmonica) master in the 50’s into the 60’s. His well known signature songs “Messin with the kid” and “Hoodoo Man Blues” put him on the map. This is your chance to own a very rare 78 by a true legend! The record is conservatively graded E-/VG++ because of a very tiny nick that clicks twice during play, if you are listening for it, and a couple inaudible scuffs. The etched vinyl matrix number is 25-111 #155/25-112 #155, and the release title features the tracks "Two Head Woman" and "Lovey Dovey Lovey One."

These early shellac 78’s are classified as an SP (single play) type vs a single that would be on a vinyl 45 rpm. This rare find from 1957 will be a valuable addition to any collection of vinyl records.
