NO RESERVE PRICE

Up for sale is a 1969 E-Type FHC project. (The desirable 2 seater, not less desirable 2+2).
73,925 original miles on the chassis and engine.
Has a clean title.

It's a solid base to start a complete restoration from - or build a E-Type race car such as:

https://www.speedhunters.com/2018/03/shaken-not-stirred-61-e-type-race-car/

Could also be turned into a roadster.

All matching numbers to my knowledge, engine turns freely and ran over two years ago with an auxiliary fuel pump.
Chassis rolls and steers freely without issue, brakes don't work - but the e-brake does.

Like every single E-Type that wasn't restored properly - this one also has extreme rust present in the floorboards and will need replaced.

To quote a forum post:
"The car was designed and built on an island that is mocked
for constant cold, wet, rainy weather. And yet the car was
clearly engineered to funnel as much water into the cockpit
as possible. If it rains half an inch, two inches will
accumulate inside the cockpit. It’s really quite a
remarkable bit of engineering! But the true genius was the
1/2’’ thick felt ‘‘sound proofing’’ that was clearly designed
to keep that rain water against the unprotected bare metal
for as long as absolutely possible!"

Some rust is also visible in the sills - but not an overwhelming amount and might be able to be repaired instead of replaced.

Aside from the sills/floorboard, the rest of the underbody looks solid and this E-Type has o
verall significantly less rust from other projects I've seen online in the last few years.
(I can provide multiple videos of the underside via. text, please reach out at 406-381-2143)
Also can provide any other photos as requested.

Bonnet hardware is present (to my best knowledge) but it's disconnected.

Purchased two summers ago with the intention of restoring it myself - however I've since then accumulated a few other project cars that I've reluctantly decided to prioritize, mostly because I can't weld/do bodywork myself.

Other cons: Minor dent on the rear passenger side hatch pillar.
Missing seats, glass, rear hatch, exterior trim, mirrors and door handles.
(Doors both open and shut properly without them.) - also the TERRIBLE paint overspray present in the photos.

Car is located in Butte, Montana - buyer is responsible for all shipping.
Inspections welcome.

A $1000 non-refundable deposit will be required within 48 hours of the winning bid via. PayPal/Venmo, etc.
Due to the nature of this classic vehicle, it's being completely sold "as is".

Please reach out if there's any further questions. 406-381-2143
Happy bidding :)
