My grandfather worked as a machinist and he messed around with a bunch of stuff like setting in rings and all kinds of things with clocks… Etc..

This tool was part of his estate. Please let me describe to you exactly what I see. Important to read this.

First of all I know nothing about this tool other than I’m a carpenter and I could tell you a little bit about what I am seeing through a CARPENTERS eyes..

I plugged it in and both lights worked. It has switches on the inter ceiling for the lights and the Chuck . The Chuck spawn very nicely and looked really smooth. I noticed it was made in Germany so it’s definitely quality.

The one thing I’m not sure of is how to lock in the bits. everything looks correct, but since I don’t know how to lock in the bits… That’s untested as is regarding locking in the bits. I don’t see any mechanism and it’s not like a regular drill so I’m lost.

The vice looks great. It could be adjusted in so many different ways. definitely quality. I’m sure this machine was very expensive when it was brand new.

I looked inside the drawers and both are filled. The drawer on the right has a caliper tool that is from Germany. Obviously quality. The cord is in nice shape. It’s a heavy duty three prong cord.

The cabinet is very nice with only very little bit of light imperfections but mostly very nice. i’ll point to the little flake on the wood, but it looks really very decent. If you have a quality shop, this will look lovely in it. It won’t look like a beater. It has a nice front door that is attached with magnets. Everything fits beautifully. It looks lovely when it’s closed up also and when it’s opened, it looks technical and awesome.

The one thing I noticed is it has a little bit of a musty smell. It’s not overwhelming, but I could smell a little bit of musty. Odor.

I’m not an expert at all at this machine, but it looks like only a few things are going on here the vice, the lights and the drill and everything seems to be functioning fine however since I’m not an expert, this item is as is as pictured Sold by a non-expert. If anything needs to be repaired, this will be up to you. But it looks decent to me, however, since I don’t know how it works specifically it is exactly as I described it. There’s switches on the ceiling and both of them function nicely. the lights move around and swivel.

This thing is heavy. My shipping cost is accurate and I will pack it with care. I won’t lose anything. I will pad the drawers to make sure the bits stay nice and secure and in place.

Make sure you look at every single picture because this item will arrive exactly as pictured.

That’s all I can tell you… Because that’s all I know, and that’s all I can think of. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out. Thanks, John.
