Vintage circa 1950's Malaccan Malaysian teak wood box, is hand made and finely turned of spherical globe like form.  It is decorated with two ebonized rings and inlaid with mother of pearl triangles in various patterns.  This very rare and gorgeous box is related to the Malaccan figure in our other listing and all the painted and inlaid masks which are often attributed to Africa but are actually Malaccan.  The box has a lift off lid and the quality and age of this wonderful piece can be seen not only on the outside, but in the interior and on the base.  It is in very good condition with no damage or repair, there is minor wear to ageing conducive with its age (please see photos).
