Antique circa 1880's British Arts & Crafts wooden panel, is very finely hand worked in pyrography (pokerwork) with six individual panels of maidens and ladies in long flowing robes, some with flowers, baskets of flowers, one with a flaming torch and another in a fur cloak protecting a child from the winter winds.  This beautiful piece is mounted in a fine reeded mahogany frame of a type which Morris & Co (William Morris) favoured to mount items for sale.  It is in good condition with no damage or repair, the panel is bowed outwards which may be by intent because the bowing is even and there is no warping or twisting of the frame (please see photos).

Length with frame 59.5 cm, 23½" inches.
Height with frame 31.7cm, 12½" inches.
