Item Features and benefits:
Integrated, compact design that minimizes air pressure drop.
Reduced contamination of the sensing element, increasing reliability.
More accurate airflow detection.
Small size passage structure that is easy to install.
Small, lightweight design
Plug-in type MAF sensors are inserted into the air-intake wall, reducing weight, size and installation time, with no impact on performance.
Better accuracy
The unique bypass passage design prevents air from turning towards the sensing element and reduces air pulsations, allowing for a more accurate measurement and protecting the sensor from contaminants.
Simple installation
Simply insert the part into the sensing element and the air flow meter can be used, making it versatile and usable in a wide variety of air systems.
Package include:
1x Mass Air Flow Sensor/Meter
FAQs
When To Replace the Mass Airflow Sensor?
- Check engine light
- Lean or Rich Fuel Mixture
- Difficulty Starting Your Car
- Engine Stalls After Starting or When Idling
- Engine Hesitation and Dragging Sensation
- Engine Hesitation and Jerking
- Engine Hiccups
How can you prevent and solve MAF sensor failures?
A problem with the MAF sensor can cause the engine warning light to turn on. This fault is stored as a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) in the engine ECU and can be inspected by a DTC scan tool. However, if the root cause of failure is a clogged MAF sensor passage, the engine will usually start, will run poorly or stall, and may not set a DTC. If the MAF sensor is defective, it will need to be replaced. This is a simple process. If the MAF sensor is contaminated, cleaning it may provide a temporary solution, but this may damage the sensor’s delicate hardware. If the MAF sensor is replaced, make sure the air filter is also installed properly.
How can I get the MAF sensor to last longer?
Well, there’s a simple solution – clean the air filter regularly! When you keep the filter clean, you ensure that the sensor isn’t bogged down by debris and dust particles that could clog it up over time. In addition, it’s good practice to take out the entire sensor occasionally and clean it as well.
How to Install a MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR(MAF):
1. Position MAF sensor in the vehicle. Make sure the airflow direction indicated on the sensor is toward the engine.
2. Install sensor to air duct seal(s), if so equipped, on the replacement MAF sensor.
3. Connect the MAF sensor to the throttle body air cleaner ducts. If the sensor mounts directly on the throttle body, install and tighten the mounting screws to 10 ft-lb. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!
4. Position clamps over the air duct/MAF sensor connections and tighten. Replace the clamps if necessary. (NOTE: For the MAF sensor to work properly, the sensor/air duct connections must be airtight.)
5. CAREFULLY plug the harness connector lead into the MAF sensor.
