Fuller English History of Britain George Sandys
Thomas Fuller was a 17th-century English historian who
particularly notable for his historical accounts of English worthies and the
Church of England. In 1662, Fuller’s “Worthies
of England” was published, a book which would become one of the most
iconic books of English history even into the 19th-century. This
book discusses the physical boundaries of English towns and counties, notable
figures and martyrs, antiquities, buildings, cathedrals, and general
observations.
This early 1684 edition was abridged from Fuller by George Sandys.

Bosanquet (1735-1809) was a director for the East India Company and an agent
for Thomas Walpole MP. His financial speculating and investments had ties to
the slave trade, and the squandering his fortune on a rakish lifestyle may have
led to his estrangement from his family.

Bosanquet (1699-1741) was a Huguenot merchant and trader, and a member of the
successful Bosanquet banking family. He was also a noted antiquary and
collector. His son, Richard Bosanquet, was a director for the East India
Company and an agent for Thomas Walpole MP. Both were related to Samuel
Bosanquet (1744–1806), a Director of the Bank of England; and Samuel Richard
Bosanquet (1800–1882) an English barrister, known as a writer on legal, social
and theological topics.
