Lost is an American drama TV series created by Jeffrey Lieber, J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof, that originally aired on the ABC network from September 22, 2004 to May 23, 2010, over 6 seasons, comprising a total of 121 episodes. The show contains elements of the supernatural and science fiction, and follows the survivors of a commercial jet airliner flying between Sydney and Los Angeles, after the plane crashes on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. Of the 324 people on board Oceanic Flight 815, there are 70 initial survivors (as well as one dog) spread across the three broken sections of the plane crash. The story is told in a heavily serialized manner. Episodes typically feature a primary storyline set on the island, augmented by flashback or flashforward sequences which provide additional insight into the involved characters.

Lost had numerous eventual famous cast members: Matthew Fox (as Jack Shepherd), Evangeline Lily (as Kate Austen), Josh Holloway (as James "Sawyer" Ford), Daniel Dae Kim (as Jin-Soo Kwan), Dominic Monaghan (as Charlie Pace), Ian Somerhalder (as Boone Carlyle), Maggie Grace (as Shannon Rutherford), Terry O'Quinn (as John Locke), Naveen Andrews (Sayid Jarrah), Jorge Garcia (as Hugo "Hurley" Reyes).
