This Canon Battery Pack BP-200 fits the company's EOS 300 35mm film SLR camera (sold in some countries as the EOS Rebel 2000, Kiss III or IIIL), but NOT any later Canon models such as the EOS 300V, 300X and 300D. It provides improved balance and handling, plus the ability to use standard AA batteries. The larger grip makes the camera easier to handle for many people, especially those with larger hands who find modern cameras too small. A vertical shutter release provides much improved handling when holding the camera upright, and a locking switch prevents accidental exposures. The grip accepts 4x standard AA disposable alkaline (supplied) or rechargeable NiMH batteries, which can be purchased almost everywhere. Please note that it's NOT suitable for AA lithium batteries, or the CR2 batteries used in the camera (which aren't required).

This is a genuine Canon grip, well made from high quality materials, and screws securely into position on the base of camera. A standard 1/4-inch socket is provided on the base to allow the camera to be mounted on a tripod or other support without removing the grip. A connection point on the end allows fitting of a hand strap (not included). It adds just 34mm (1.3") to the height of the camera and weighs only 115g (4.1oz) without batteries.

Compatibility

This accessory is suitable for the Canon EOS 300 (Europe, Asia, Oceania), EOS Rebel 2000 (Americas), EOS Kiss III and Kiss III L (Japan) 35mm film SLR cameras.

It's NOT suitable for later film models such as the EOS 300V (Rebel Ti, Kiss 5) and 300X (Rebel T2, Kiss 7), the 300D digital SLR, any other models or makes.
