This is an original WWI document issued to servicemen at the end of the War.
This is the 'Certificate Of Employment During The War' form  (Z.18) issued to every serviceman at de-mobilisation.

This form was for an infantryman, 202525 Pte.. John Richardson Russell,  in the Highland  Light Infantry.
The printed form with handwritten entries is dated 17th December 1918.

These certificates were used, as a reference, for returning soldiers seeking future employment.

The 100 year old form has obviously seen better days .It is aged and there is some tape repair along the fold lines.
Having said that, it is complete, authentic and presentable
.It has done well to survive.

A nice piece of First World War history.
