THIS BOX ART in MINT condition of this 4WD buggy is rare from 1988 or 1987.
(PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOLLOWING ARE NEEDED TO OPERATE the electric R/C and are NOT INCLUDED: 7.2V-1200mAH battery and 2 channel R/C equipment: Tx Rx, speed controller kit etc.). I suggest you check amazon or a local hobby shop for those accessories.) Although EVERYTHING is provided for a completely brand new build, this kit was made in the late 1980s. So, If you plan to build AND race this kit, you may also need duplicates of hardware like wheel nuts, wheel pins, or parts that might get lost or need replacement like plastics or polymer based parts that may have lost quality with time/age etc.
Please do your own research and do not take my word for it. Some R/C equipment and batteries that might work but I cannot guarantee they would work or not:
- Hobbywing QuicRun 1060 Brushed (electronic speed and steering controller)
- JX Servo 4.8-6.0V 9KG Metal Gear Digital Short Servo For 1/8 1/10 RC Car (servo for powering the steering, may want to verify depth of buggy for mounting the right height type of servo, might need to be low profile, not sure if this one is or not:
PLEASE NOTE: I will add light packing material inside the original box to secure parts during shipping. However, I am not responsible for any damages during shipping. If you are in the Lombard or Oak Park, IL area I can arrange for the winner to pick-up the kit/box. Please refer to pictures for the item's condition and what items are included. Every buyer so far has been very satisfied with the kits! Please see feedback.
In my opinion this might be an excellent gift idea or RC car hobbyist collectors item! It seems to be a unique icon from the vintage R/C car history books! Why not have a mint condition version for spare parts or add it to your collection!
