A rare Scottish Georgian antique solid sterling silver ladle. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1817 with the maker's mark being J W Howden and Alexander Henderson. It has been well made to and interesting engraved with a Griffins head crest used by the Griffin Family. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 6.25 inches (15.6cm) long by 1.75 inches (4.3cms) wide and weighs 36 grams. A very well made clean example.
