Lyle and Erik Menendez were convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the 1989 murders of their wealthy parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez. during the seven months before their arrest in March 1990, they went on a lavish spending spree with their parents’ insurance money, one of the things they purchased were court side tickets to the Knicks game at Madison Square Garden

Their lavish spending, led crime writer Stephen Zerance to wonder is it possible? Could the Menendez brothers be pictured on some Basketball card somewhere?, and the search was on.

Miraculously, Zerance discovered the two brothers, pictured in the background, sitting court side, of the Mark Jackson's Hoops basketball card from 1990. the picture was taken only three months after the murders and four months before they would be arrested.
