Antique theca case 1,2 inches high (3cm) with hanging hook which contains the relics of two saints devoted to the Sacred Heart and who founded the Order of the Visitation: St.Francis de Sales (1567-1622) French Bishop - St.Jane Frances de Chantal (1572-1641) French Nun.
Oval silver plated case decorated on the back case cover with two Sacred Hearts and flowery designs, the interior compartment is under glass on a red cloth background with gold paper decorations and border trim. The relics are placed on white backings between the two name labels which read " S.F.de Sales - Ste.de Chantal ".
The back case cover can be removed to view the red string seals and an official red wax Church seal with Bishop's coat of arms stem to certify the authenticity of the relics. All are in place and intact.
Antique reliquary in very good condition with minor signs of age and wear, some small dents on the case.
