Remarks: The editions of the Deutsche Bauzeitung contain texts and photographic images of contemporary construction projects in residential, industrial and functional construction. The issues in small newspaper format also contain map sections (for identifying building sites), illustrated diagrams (construction project drafts), sometimes several elaborate floor plans for current projects as well as technical drawings for engineering details and figures. There are also supplements included in many editions: these include business supplements, club supplements, information about cement, concrete and reinforced concrete construction, full-page boards with photographic illustrations, etc. As a rule, the individual copies have approx. 10 pages, sometimes significantly more with inserts. Only in rare cases did the newspaper, which previously appeared at short intervals, only have 4-6 pages. All editions have a characteristic, uniform cover design, with the upper third of the front cover always featuring a selected illustration, framed by decorative elements in keeping with the spirit of the time. The respected architect Albert Hofmann was the editor for many years. Rare editions of the oldest German. Newspaper for construction and architecture!
