Boudoir doll: bellissima dama centenaria!!!

Misura circa 84 cm

Bambola da salotto sul genere francese "sofa doll": elegante, dipinta a mano (viso e torso in cartapesta), ciglia di lana morbida (mohair?) cosi' come i capelli.

Testa e busto in fragile cartapesta ricoperta da un delicato tessuto dipinto a mano; corpo in tessuto grezzo con riempimento in minuscoli trucioli di legno; braccia (dal gomito alle dita) e gambe (dal ginocchio alle dita) in porcellana rosa opaca.

Abbigliata con una veste di seta rosa arricchita da alcuni merletti di colore verde.

Sottogonna in crinolina, culottes di seta e gambe in ceramica con piedini dorati; come le manine abbellite da smalto.

Le condizioni sono buone: la testa e' ben attaccata al collo ma le sopracciglia sono sbiadite; qualche piccola ammaccatura nella delicatissima cartapesta (vedi foto). Gambe e braccia ben attaccate al dorso. I capelli sono pettinati in piccole ciocche arrotolate. Non appaiono rotture visibili, fatta eccezione per il ginocchio destro (vedi foto) che pero' non compromette il funzionamento della gamba.

Vestito, sottoveste e culottes alcuni segni del tempo, macchioline e imperfezioni qui e la' (vedi foto).

Pretty antique (maybe french) boudoir sofà lovely doll from early 1900

She measures 84 cm (33”) from top of head to toes.

Living room doll based on the French "sofa doll" genre: elegant, hand-painted (face and torso in papier-mâché), soft wool eyelashes (mohair?) as well as the hair.

Head and bust in fragile papier-mâché covered with a delicate hand-painted fabric; coarse fabric body with tiny wood chip filling; arms (from elbow to fingers) and legs (from knee to fingers) in matte pink porcelain.

Dressed in a pink silk robe enriched with some lace. Crinoline petticoat, silk culottes and ceramic legs, little hands embellished with enamel, golded foot.

The conditions are good: the head is well attached to the neck but the eyebrows are faded; some small dents in the very delicate papier-mâché.

Legs and arms are well attached to the back. The hair is combed in small curled locks. There are no visible breaks, except for the right knee (see photos) which however does not compromise the functioning of the leg. Dress, slip and culottes, some signs of ageing, spots and imperfections here and there (see photos).
