Victorian Paquin Style Black Silver Sequin Steel Cut Beaded Butterfly Ball Gown Skirt Train

This amazing antique Victorian era Paquin style black silver sequin steel cut beaded ball gown skirt train dates from 1900. It is made of a black cotton backing lining with a sheer black net overlay covered with black and silver sequins, jet and steel cut beading. The beautiful bead work is created in a raised padded 3 dimensional appliqued ornate design with butterflies, bows and resembles that of Parisian fashion designer Jeanne Paquin. This lavish beaded ball gown skirt has a full long floor length with back train with black chiffon ruffled hemline, fully lined, has hook closures on the back and has no label. The skirt measures 42 inches long in the front, 52 inches long in the back, with a 24 inch waist and 52 inch hips. It is in good as-is condition, with several loose missing sequins beads, some small frayed holes and fraying along the net waistband (see close-ups). This is truly an exceptional quality made, one of a kind rare piece of wearable art!
