On offer is a rare and very beautiful Chinese early 20th century hat stand superbly decorated with a figural scene known as 敦颐爱莲 "Dun Yi Ai Lian" where the scholar Zhou Dunyi is appreciating lotus blossom with children playing at the foreground. This is by the famous Qianjiang master Duan Maosheng with inscription. Very high level art work. It is measured at 28 cm in height and dated to years Gengxu, 1910. The condition is perfect with no chips, cracks and restorations except for some wear. Guaranteed genuine and offered with no reserve.
