Ah....I am SO glad Dunhill is still making pipes of the quality, grain and fit & finish that is reminiscent of their early era when Alfred and his carvers made WONDERFUL looking  and incredible English briars that are so fabulously good smokers.   But we Dunhill fans know that..lol..  I've said this many times here on Ebay through my  decades of selling my personal pipes here: The pictures do NOT this wonderful pipe justice!   A very rare 1945 to 1949 ODA Prince (patent no. 417574/34).  I bought it, paid dear for it, from the pipeworld renown Michael Reschke at Chicago Show  maybe ten years ago.  It should have been a 'Root' finish due to the nice symmetrical straight grain.  There is a small fissure in the wood on the rim as the last picture shows that Michael showed me.  It's certainly Not a crack, as thick as the bowl is.  I've smoked this beauty with Virginia Flake for 10 years with no affect on the 'fissure.   This rare beauty looks almost Brand New' in every way.  There are no scratches, dents, shop wear, excessive bowl cake or real bite marks on that nice long original stem. All nomenclature is as crisp as the day it was made.  Its overall length is 7 3/16 in.,  bowl height 1 1/2 in. tall,  bowl chamber is 15/16 in. wide.  This, a weak moment, when I feel I have too many Dunhills...   but Bid with confidence or I'll keep it.
