Please meet McDuff, an antique vintage Teddy bear!  I am 97.49867 percent certain he is by Gund. I believe he's from the late 1940's/early 1950's (or before).  He is made of an old type rusty colored curly plush that is in great shape, but does have some flattening to his fur on the back of his legs, and there is a little loss on the side of his nose from too many kisses.  He has clear glass antique replacement eyes but his original nose and mouth stitching, along with a tiny red felt tongue.  His paw pads are brown velveteen.  He has a press squeaker in the back that is still working, but it is not very loud.  He is firmly stuffed with some type of sub material.  He does have one issue:  His neck joint has been sewn down by a previous owner and his head no longer turns, although I can feel the disk in his neck, and his head is very slightly turned to the right.  Bummer!  (He says this just give him "character," thank you very much).  I've given him a sparkly gold bow tie to wear.  He is firmly stuffed.  He is now four-way jointed and in good overall condition.  McDuff is 16 inches tall and weighs 1 pound, 8 ounces.   Could he be the one for you???  He is looking for a home where he can be your companion on your next pub crawl!  :0)

Check out the last picture for a group photo of all the bears on auction this week!   :0)
Please note:   Upon payment, I ship the next business day.    Whenever possible, my items will now be sent out USPS Ground Advantage, which is much less expensive than Priority Mail, but slightly slower, by a day or two.   Occasionally I use my personal discounted FedEx account as well for larger, heavier items.  If you'd like me to send something Priority, please let me know.

With regret, I am downsizing my teddy bear collection.   I have many different types, which I will be listing in the coming weeks (or months or maybe even years).   For the most part, I relist all the bears that don't get adopted the first time around on the last Saturday of the month.  I live in a smoke-free home, but I do have cats who are barred from the bear room and bunny room(!).

Names, names, names:  If I'm listing an animal crafted by an artist, sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances (don't ask), I do not know his or her proper name.  I simply rename them using my own imagination (which is admittedly quite active).  This is not a slight to the talented artist who created them or meant to confuse the collector...just a way to give them a bit of personality and to have a little fun!   (Feel free to change their name and protect the innocent!)

A quick note about shipping:    Don't you hate it when you're overcharged by a seller on shipping????   A gazillion dollars to cross the pond or go across the country.  It's ridiculous.   I am striving to be accurate in my listing, but sometimes ebay's calculator is way off (especially for those outside the U.S.).   When i calculate shipping, I add in extra weight for the box.    If you're interested in an item outside the U.S., don't be scared by what the calculator is telling you.   Please contact me and I'll find out exactly what it would cost to post to your country and make a note in the listing.  I'll never overcharge you.   If I quote you a number and i can get it to you cheaper, I'll immediately refund the difference.

Please note I am not an expert in teddy bears...I am only downsizing.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Please see pictures.  They are part of the description.  Additional pictures on request.

Payment is due within THREE days of auction end.   Combined shipping is always available.   I only charge actual shipping costs.   If it turns out the shipping estimator is wrong above $1, I will refund you the difference.

I am willing to ship internationally, but please ask if I post to your country and what it would cost BEFORE you bid, as it could be very expensive.  Ebay's calculator can be off either too high or too low!

Check out my other teddies that I am listing this week.

Thank you for looking at my auction
