Another custom detailed used loco. This one is another oldie that the former owner added some details to, namely the plow and a series of SP-style lights, bell, and air conditioner. It's a DC-powered loco and it runs smoothly. This one has the newer Athearn motor and drive with the "brass" flywheels and plastic sideframe trucks. It coasts great! Axle gears good too. Kadee couplers with trip pins removed. There is no light features and no "glass" in this unit. The former owner didn't like the Athearn "cab light" or the stock glass back in the 1990s when this loco was built.
I added some lubrication, cleaned the wheels, but otherwise it didn't need anything to get it running again like old times. For the right guy, with some added work and detailing, this could be made into something really special. No Instruction sheet or original box is included. USPS Ground Advantage Shipping.
