This is spectacular Russian Silver "88" Gilded Jem Set Kovsh, Large & Beautiful.

The craftsmanship and detailing in this piece is stunning. It is solid and it is heavy (79.5 grams).The intricate details and expert craftsmanship speak to the high standards of silverwork that Russia is known for. The silver used in this piece is of exceptional quality and the design is both beautiful and functional. The region of origin, Russia, is known for producing some of the finest silver items in the world and this Kovsh (Bowl) is no exception. The material used, silver, is a precious metal that has long been valued for its beauty and durability. Very nicely decorated with 7 Ruby's around the top opened edge and one of them on the raised nose in front give this bowl absolutely magnificent look.  Please review my very detailed pictures above.

The Kovsh is 5-5/8" long and 2-3/8" high. 

The top opening is 3" in diameter.

The round base is 1-3/8" in diameter.

Weight: 79.5 grams.

Marks on the bottom of the Kovsh (picture # 8):  Russian Hallmark and "Faberge" (in Russian letters) for the maker,  followed by  "88" - Russian Silver Standard and Russian Hallmark.

Condition: in EXCELLENT condition!
