This vintage Fender Musicmaster bass was given to me by Jim Avett, father of Seth and Scott Avett (of The Avett Brothers fame). It was professionally set up by Tom’s Guitars in Winston-Salem, NC.

Own a piece of history with this rare short-scale bass. The instrument is mechanically sound and plays beautifully. Cosmetic imperfections are to be expected with an instrument of this age, and give it character unlike a new bass off the shelf.

The manufactured year is an estimate, as the serial number is not logged in Fender’s online database (this is not unusual for vintage instruments). I am selling as I need to reduce my collection due to changing life circumstances, and this bass doesn’t get the playtime it deserves.
