The logic board is in working condition but both USB 3.0 ports do not recognise USB 3.0 devices, the ports only recognise USB 2.0 devices as shown in the pictures with the USB 2.0 external drive connected. The USB 3.0 ports in the logic board are therefore faulty. I tried to clean the ports with rubber alcohol and that did not help. I also tried SMC and PRAM resets and that did not help either. The logic board is for sale for parts/not working with no guarantee offered or implied and therefore no returns. Apple Hardware Test (AHT) diagnostics return no issues as shown in the pictures. As you can see in the pictures, the screen backlight works, keyboard backlight works, webcam works. All ports have been tested and found working as should except for two USB 3.0 ports which are faulty as described above: two mini display (thunderbolt) ports work, 3.5mm Headphone Jack works, SD Card port and HDMI port work in the I/O board (not included, for sale in my other listing) Audio has been tested and found working. |
