This 3LP box set by Columbia Masterworks (D3S 813), issued in or around 1977, features the three symphonies of Sergei Rachmaninoff: Symphony No. 1 in D Minor, Symphony No. 2 in E Minor and Symphony No. 3 in A Minor, performed by The Philadelphia Orchestra, conducted by Eugene Ormandy. Album notes are in English, including comments written by the conductor.

Also included are photocopied reviews of the performances when originally issued in earlier years (prior to the box set), in various issues of The Gramophone from September, 1967; September, 1968; August, 1972; and August, 1980.

The box shows a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back (Photo 2).

This is one of many titles from an extensive collection of classical LPs and CDs that we will be listing here. All have been carefully stored for many years, played only on premium equipment, and show little to no wear.
