This is a genuine Rollei adapter with auto diaphragm to use most M42 screw thread lenses on the classic Rolleiflex SL35 film SLR camera, plus other Rollei/Voigtlander QBM bayonet mount SLRs with stopped down metering. Unlike most screw to bayonet adapters this one retains the automatic diaphragm of M42 auto lenses, so the lens stays wide open for focusing and framing, stopping down only when the metering button is pressed or the picture is taken. Used on the original Rolleiflex SL35 this allows M42 screw SLR lenses to work in exactly the same way as original bayonet mount ones. It's also usable on many other Rolleiflex/Voigtlander QBM cameras, compatible with auto or manual exposure where available, and stopped down metering using the depth of field preview button/lever. Compatibility

This adapter is Rollei/Voigtlander QBM (Quick Bayonet Mount) fitting, suitable for the Rolleiflex bayonet-mount 35mm SLRs including the SL, 2000 and 3000 series, plus bayonet mount versions of the Voigtlander VSL range as follows:

Camera Compatibility
Suitable cameras include the Rolleiflex SL35, SL350, SL35M, SL35ME, SL35E, SL2000F, 3001 and 3003, plus the Voigtlander VSL1 BM, VSL2 and VSL3-E. It's NOT suitable for the Rollei SL26 or 35RF, screw mount (TM) versions of Voigtlander cameras, the Bessaflex, older types such as the Bessamatic and Ultramatic or any other makes or models.

Lens Compatibility
The adapter is suitable for Zeiss Ikon/Voigtlander TM, Praktica and most other M42 screw lenses. Please note that it may NOT be suitable for most M42 lenses with full aperture metering such as Fujinon ST/AZ, Mamiya SX, Olympus FTL,  or Pentax SMC Takumars as lens features can foul on the adapter. Praktica Electric M42 lenses are usable, however.
