Here we have a really clean and complete Conn Victor 81A. The high and low pitch variant of the famous 80A. The mechanism is present. Serial number 229220 gives a probable manufacturing date of 1926. Not the asterisk ahead of the serial #. I was told this indicates extra quality brass, though I’m not certain. The plating is 99% and it is free of dings. Altogether excellent cosmetic condition.

All high and low pitch slides are present. The valves are a bit worn, but not enough to affect playing. Comes with a slightly battered Brilliante straight mute. All slides as mentioned above, plus screwdriver, music holder, Ancient tin of slide grease and two short shank mouthpieces-a Keefer 1 with a fairly shallow cup and a no-name early flat rim deep cup one.
