Signed and numbered, leather-bound slip-cased edition of Noble House by James Clavell, author of Shogun. This edition is #57 of 500 signed by the author and still in the original shrink-wrap, although with some tearing of the shrink-wrap at the spine of the book. This book is really in pristine condition, having been well-cared for since 1981 when I received it working for the publisher. The book has gilt edges and a sewn binding. The signature page is tipped into the front of the book.

Clavell is receiving renewed attention with the recent airing of Shogun on Hulu and this 1981 novel is Book 5 in Clavell's Asian Saga which began with Shogun. Although it is long, coming in at 1206 pages, the book got great reviews. The New York Times called it,
"an extravagantly romantic novel for people who really like to spend time reading novels. It's fiction for addicts."

This is a truly collectible edition by a master writer of fiction.
