Welcome to my listing for this very rare Meadow Green Ford Cortina Mk5 Estate 1.6L (Some may say a unicorn in disguise) it was bought to be part of my collection, however, the reality is I am just far too busy at present to get close to doing it.  Some key points about the car below that are worth noting: 

• Mileage : Approximately 73000 (believed to be genuine) 
• Registration : XNO 716X
• Gearbox : Manual 
• Emission : ULEZ COMPLIANT ✅
• Service History : There are some previous mots and receipts for work that’s been carried out 
• Keys : 2x keys 
• Full V5 is present (this will be registered into a personal name or trade name before going, no exceptions 
• FULLY HPI CLEAR, no previous accident damage (Full proof provided) 
• Former keepers - 7 
• Was last on the road in 2017 when it failed on the horn not working(it works) off a switch, and work required to the sills. At this point it has a brand new radiator fitted. 
• Comes with fitted car cover, spare front wing, rear arch as well as some workshop manuals and some other spare parts. 

The car is presented as a running car. On a visual inspection all the levels are correct and the dashboard illuminates correctly. It will Require a full overhaul including belts, fluids etc. I have just fitted a brand new battery to get it going. 

Bodywork: 

Bodily the car is presented in as close to as original condition as you will find for one of these. You will see the grill has now been changed back to an original one. Around 5-10 years ago the car had a lot of money spent on restoring it but unfortunately since it got out off the road it’s sat in a garage where recently it has just been brought back out awaiting its new owner to hopefully recommission. I have over 50 photos of the car both on top and underneath highlighting the good, the bad and the ugly. There is numerous marks and rust spots starting to show through but I have tried to keep it as it. The bonnet has been painted before, and I am led to believe the rear boot floor has also been replaced at some point. I was pleasantly surprised with underneath outwith the sills that will require some work. It is a very genuine car. 

Mechanical: 

As mentioned earlier, the car starts and moves. It came as a non runner. The brake pedal is sinking to the floor obviously due to sitting so this will need rectified. 

Interior:

The interior of the car is still in very good order. It is free from any major damage, and has no rips or tears. It could do with a valet. The rear Carpet and head lining is in good order and the spare wheel and tools are also present. 

Summary: 

It was lovingly owned by the previous owner and I want to assure it ends up in the right hands. The car is being sold on a purely ‘Spares or Repair* PROJECT CAR basis. Anyone that knows these will now how rare a site this actually is. I am expecting a lot of interest and will answer all questions as openly and honestly as I can. I have had strong values from numerous auction houses so to be clear I will not be giving the car away. It needs to go to someone that knows these cars and is willing to put the work into it to get it back to its best.
