This is a real collectors' item - a German-language Baedeker's Guide covering Southern Germany, including the Upper Rghine, Wurttemberg, Bavaria and the adjacent parts of Austria.

Published in 1890.  23rd edition.

In very good condition, but with slight wear.

The covers are in good but slightly rubbed condition with normal wear and no markings or damage.  Just some rubbing to the edges.  The gilt titles are bright.

The spine cloth is also in good condition with normal wear, but is rather faded. No markings or damage.

All the 20 maps and 25 town plans appear to be present.  All are in excellent condition with very little wear and no markings or damage apart from a small edge tear to the last map.

The pages are in excellent condition with very little wear or discolouration.  No markings or damage.

There is a pencil inscription on the blank fly page inside the front cover.

The binding is very good, but just slightly loose.

A fascinating travel handbook of 322 pages, full of contemporary information about the many areas of interest in and around Southern Germany at the end of the 19th century.
