This attractive, uncommon post card(in pretty fine condition, with some wear and tear around its edges in the form of creases, and some stains/toning) was sent to the Austrian Post Office in Janina(pretty nice strike!), present-day Greece, Ottoman Empire, on January 14, 1908! It was sent as a New Year's card by an ethnic Greek in Cairo, Egypt, and arrived in Janina on January 24, 1908. The addressee was actually an ethnic Greek working at the Austrian Post Office in Janina! Outside of some gum residue/minute toning around a few perfs, the red, 4-Milliemes, Egyptian stamp is in great condition! Mail to or from Janina is not seen very often!
