Antique Victorian Era Large C. F. Monroe Wave Crest Hand Painted Antique Roses Decorated Opal Ware Glass Mantel Vase 12.25"

Approximately 12.25" tall. The glass alone is 11" tall.

Fabulous Victorian era antique vase. These were at the height of popularity between 1890-1910, and I think this one falls before the turn of the century. This is a fairly hard to find shape. The hand decorated antique roses decor is superb!

It's a little dirty but I didn't want to risk over-cleaning and damage the enameling, which is perfect! The plaster that holds the base on has come loose, as shown. (Plaster was the glue of the Victorian era.) This could be rectified with new plaster, or glue. It still fits on the base and displays perfectly as it is. It appears it may have had a cuff on the top rim due to plaster residue there but I'm not sure as other examples I found in this shape were gilded. Otherwise in pristine condition. No chips, cracks, repairs, etc.
