Handmade 18th century robe anglaise style gown. This was made based on the design from the American Duchess book. Perfect for colonial reenactment.

The dress can be unbustled to show a train or are tied under the skirt to create a layered bustle.

The dress top is made of a red/orange floral embroidered silk taffeta with a brown/orange shot taffeta ruffled trim, embellished with pink cotton sateen bows on the sleeve cuffs. Measurements are 38” bust, 29” waist. Preferably worn with “stays” or a corset to create the conical structure of that era. Fastenings are hook-and-eye.

The skirt is made of figured silk taffeta, chocolate color with a rust figuring to create a sort of faint orange sheen in the light. Fastened by tape ties in the back, the waist at minimum is 29”.
