Handmade 18th century robe polonaise created using the American Duchess pattern. Perfect for colonial reenactment.

Top is a green/gold silk dupioni lined with forest green linen and trimmed with a cobalt blue silk dupioni trim with gold embellishment. Fastenings are hook-and-eye. Best worn with “stays” underneath to create the conical structure of that era. The skirt in the back is held up with tape ties to the buttons on the back. Bust is 38”, waist is 30”.

Skirt is a cobalt blue silk dupioni with a ruffled hem fastened with tapes on the side, so it’s adjustable.

Please note that the ruffles have been trimmed with pinking shears to reduce shedding but is still considered a raw edge so some minor frays may be found but should not harm the garment itself.

*Please note that this is a handmade item, which means there may be small imperfections but should have no affect on the integrity of the garment. If you have questions on the details of the garment such as the edges, the inside or how it is fastened, I’m happy to answer that for you if I forgot to put it in the description. Your patience and kindness is appreciated*
