THIS AUCTION IS FOR 16 FEET OF FLAT LIFT TAPE AND ONE RE-STRINGING NEEDLE. This flat lift tape is for Hunter Douglas, Duette, Levolor, Honeycomb, Easy Rise Cellular, Roll Ease ( RollEase ), Luxaflex, Cord Loop and Cordless Cellular Shades and other similar Blinds. YOUR SPOOLS ARE VERY EASY TO REFILL YOURSELF. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE PICTURED AND EASY TO FOLLOW. JUST PAY ATTENTION TO HOW YOUR OLD LIFT TAPE IS ATTACHED WHEN YOU REMOVE IT FROM YOUR SPOOLS.

This is for SIXTEEN FEET (16') of Flat Lift Tape.

HOW MUCH LIFT TAPE WILL YOU NEED?If your blind is mounted inside of the window opening, each spool in your blind will need about one foot more than the length of your window opening. THE LENGTH YOU'LL NEED WILL BE MORE IF YOUR BLIND IS MOUNTED ABOVE THE WINDOW OPENING. THE HIGHER IT IS MOUNTED ABOVE THE WINDOW OPENING, THE MORE LIFT TAPE YOU WILL NEED PER SPOOL.

Sixteen feet is enough to re-string TWO spools with 7 feet of lift tape each with one extra foot for each spool to feed through the collapsed blind. Remember, the longer the window opening, the longer the blind, and therefore the thicker the blind is in the collapsed position, requiring more lift tape to thread through the collapsed blind for re-threading.

TO DETERMINE THE LENGTH OF LIFT TAPE YOU NEED: 

First, remove the blind from the wall. Second, remove a retainer clip at the bottom of the blind (of an unbroken spool if possible) and detach the lift tape from it. Third, disassemble the top of the blind and remove the spool, pulling the lift tape out of the blind that you detached from the retainer clip. Unwind the lift tape from the spool and measure it. This is the length you'll need MULTIPLIED BY HOWEVER MANY SPOOLS YOUR BLIND HAS.

NOTE: MOST BLINDS HAVE MORE THAN ONE SPOOL OF LIFT TAPE. IF ONE SPOOL OF LIFT TAPE BREAKS THE CHANCES ARE THAT THE OTHER SPOOL (or spools) WILL BREAK SOON. YOU SHOULD REPLACE ALL OF THE LIFT TAPE IN THE BLIND AT THE SAME TIME.

This comes with a FREE 6" re-stringing needle.

The lift tape is white in color and approx. 2.1 mm wide.

PLEASE MEASURE YOUR LIFT TAPE TO MAKE SURE THIS WILL FIT YOUR APPLICATION.

My Flat Lift Tape is wider and thicker than the original Hunter Douglas Brand lift tape. (See pics)

NOTE: WHEN YOUR LIFT TAPE BREAKS THE RETAINER CLIP AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR BLIND USUALLY STAYS IN PLACE AND IS REUSEABLE. JUST PRY IT OUT WITH A SMALL FLAT SCREWDRIVER AND REUSE IT.
