This fine and impressive vintage amethyst brooch has been crafted in 14 ct yellow gold.
The brooch has been crafted in the form of a three-dimensional insect.
The abdomen of the insect is represented by an impressive claw set 12.39ct pear faceted cut amethyst.
The thorax is embellished with an impressive 8.15mm cultured pearl and supported by two four claw set round faceted rubies, replicating the details of the insect's eyes.
The yellow gold body of this amethyst insect brooch is accented with subtle organic decoration to the limbs.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp, and is hallmarked to the underside with the 14 ct gold fineness mark (14K).
This impressive vintage gemstone brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card.

This vintage 1960s insect brooch is fine quality set with an impressive amethyst and rubies displaying fine colour and brilliance. The amethyst insect brooch is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition with a clear hallmark to the reverse.
