1940s-50s B-Western/Country Music Scrapbook. This was someone's personal scrapbook and the best I can figure out it ranges from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. This is full of B-Western and Country Music photos, clippings and advertisements. This is truly an amazing scrapbook. Really hard to describe all that is in it. Not sure where the person lived who put this together but lots of info points to Pennslyvania or Maryland. This person was really a huge Gene Autry fan as there are 47 pages (double-sided) dedicated to Gene and several pages to Roy Rogers and several more to B-Western stars in general. There is an 11 x 14 photo of Lash LaRue which has his autograph but not sure if it a real signature or a facsimilie. There are 8 x 10 glossy photos of Gene Autry, Jody Perkins (signed) and other cowboy stars as well as Pee Wee Miller, The Praire Pals and Arthurd Smith Band. This peson went to a lot of shows and there are snapshots of: Dolly Dimples & Sante Fe Rangers, Hank Snow (1951), Monty Blake, Ernest Tubb, Jimmie and Leon Short, Maze Brothers at the WWVA Jamboree at Conomas Park in Williamsport, Md., Skyline Boys (1947), Sleepy McDaniels and Radio Playboys, Darrell Glenn (signed) who sang "Cryining in the Chapel" wich sold over 125,000 records, Pee Wee King, Sunset Carson, Ken Maynard, Lash LaRue, Big Slim Hockey, Roy Parks, Jimmy Walker, Dick Wells and The Sunset Weterners, Buckboard Ramblers with Little Joe. There are ticket stubs from the Gene Autry Show in Harrisburg, Pa. at the Zembo Mosque. No idea how many pages (some are flaking) in this scrapbook which weighs right at 9 pounds. No way I can describe every photo and every clipping in this amazing book. I know the shipping is high, especially to the West Coast but closer to my location the cheaper the shipping. I wish I could ship media, but this does not qualify. IF I OVERCHARGE ON SHIPPING BY MORE THAN $2, I WILL ISSUE A REFUND.
