A Large Antique 19th Century French Silver Plated Swivel Locket with Mirror.
This locket has a detailed coat of arms surrounded by a wreath to the front. The coat of arms depicts a swan with three balls on a shield topped by a Crown and an anchor mounted to the rear.
The locket swivels to open and contains a bevelled mirror with marks to it on one side and a space for a picture on the other.
The swivel function still works well and it clicks closed.
Originally silver plated which has now worn on most of the exterior down to the brass beneath.
Measuring 7 cm x 4 cm.
