This was my grandfather's saxophone ~ he played in a town band in Upstate, NY from the 1930's - 1960.
It is a lovely silver tone instrument.   PLEASE see photos ~ I don't know if this is nickel, silverplate, etc.....   The silver has a matte finish and within the beautiful engravings on the front, the silver is shiny.

Inside the bell is gold ~ looks tarnished.  The condition is very good ~ there is one tiny "dimple" of a dent on the bottom curve (I'm pointing to it in a photo).
It will likely need a cleaning ~ not sure if the pads are in good shape or not .... the ones that I can feel are soft (not dried & hard)

It has (what I think is) it's Original Case, along with it's Original Marching Music Stand, a neck strap, cleaning rope, mouthpiece, cover, reed cutter and things I can't identify (see photos).

I don't know the Exact Model, but it has a Very Unique Art Deco Design on it's Bell with the the following on it:
MADE BY C. G. Conn Ltd. ELKHART, IND. U.S.A.

The Main Body of this Saxophone stands 22 inches Tall, and it's Bell is 4 5/8 inches Across.

IT IS MARKED:  PATD DEC. 8, 1941     1119954   A  M187xxx L

I understand that the "A" means Alto, and the "L" under the serial number means "Low" tone.

The Key Tops are Mother of Pearl.

The case measures 23.5" long, 10.5" high and nearly 6" deep.   The original leather handle is in-tact, but worn.
