This vintage set of 2 Trifari Sterling brooches feature a pair of rag dolls Nenette & Rintintin. The brooches were patented by Alfred Philippe on August 3, 1943. They are accented with red cabochons and clear rhinestones. This pair of brooches are book pieces. They can be found on page 132 of American Costume Jewelry Art & Industry 1935-1950. A photo of the page is included. All stones are present. The metal shows some wear. Use photos as main part of the description. The clasps work. The pieces are signed Trifari Sterling with the patent numbers 136080 and 136079. Nenette measures approximately 1 5/8 x 1 1/8 inches. Rintintin measures approximately 1 5/8 x 1 3/8 inches. The pair weigh approximately 22 g. Items show wear consistent with age and use but still display nicely.
