Specialized Film & Slide Holder for Nikon LS-9000 & LS-8000 Scanners

Suitable for:
 - Medium Format film - the holder has an aperture size for one frame of 6x7 film, and can be used with smaller frame sizes including 645, 6x4.5, 6x6..
 - 2x2 inch (50x50 mm) Mounted Slides, including Type 110, Half-frame, Type 126 "Instamatic", Type 127, Type 135, and Super Slides.
 - 35mm film, Type 135.

This is THE superior holder for medium-format film.

.

How it works:
The product components "snap" together using high-powered magnets, so there are no clips to break like on the original Nikon-brand film holders.
The film is clamped on all 4 faces, meaning it is held nice and flat.
There are no layers of glass that add dust, dirt and Newton Rings (distortion) marks to your scanned images.

What does this mean? Beautiful, high-quality scans of your film.

I used this product to scan various items:
 - 645 and 6x6 film negatives.
 - Type 135 (35mm) photo slides with the rectangular frame, Type 110 or half-frame photo slides, Type 126 "Instamatic" photo slides with the square frame, AND the big Type 127 Super Slides that were originally purchased from souvenir shops.
 - 35mm photo negatives (reversal film).
 - 35mm slide film (positive film) by cutting open the cardboard/plastic slide mounts.

.

You will receive:
 - Mainframe for the Universal Film Holder.
 - Coding strips, so the film holder is detected by Nikon Scan, VueScan and SilverFast software.
 - Mask for 6x7 (56 x 69.5 mm) medium-format film.
 - Mask for 2x2"
(50x50 mm) mounted slides (aperture is 40x40mm).
 - Mask type 135 (24.0 x 36.0 mm) for 35mm film.
 - 1 hour of phone support help, or personalized instructions for your film type & software.

.

Note:
This is a precision engineered product made by a small company of Stephan Scharf in Germany.
It is manufactured in plastic using low-volume FDM (Fixed Deposition Modelling) technology, which is much more advanced than typical DIY 3D printing.
