I have here for sale a book entitled THE FISHES OF THE BRITISH ISLES Both Fresh Water and Salt by J. Travis Jenkins and published by Frederick Warne & Co, 1942. Second Edition reprinted. Stunningly illustrated, the title pages states there are 299 illustrations while the cover and dust jacket state 278, 128 of these are in full colour, and the majority being plates. This is part of the Wayside and Woodland Series. This book discusses the characteristics and habitats of British fish and the illustrations help enable readers in identification.

Bound in green hardboards with black and gilt lettering and gilt illustrations to front board, and gilt lettering to spine. Covered in a dust jacket with green lettering and illustration. Bumped to head and tail of spine. Boards firm. Binding slightly pulling at pages 128 and 272, the rest of the books binding is tight. Pages clean. This is Ex Libris with the only indication being a sticker to the front paste down. This book is in fine overall condition. 408 pages. 18 x 13 cm.
