Two beautiful vintage papier mache, trinket boxes in gold, lacquered with exotic birds and blossom design.
Probably dating from 1930's
One is heart-shaped with humming and other exotic birds
On reverse is a label saying:
" Guaranteed Hand Made by
M. Qasim & Bro, Dalgate
Srinagar - Kashmir"
The heart is approx 9.5cms x 8.5 cms at widest points and approx 3.5cms deep.
Slight damage to the lacquered edge - see photos
The inside is cream & in very clean, good condition.
The other square box is covered in a delicate pink blossom with humming bird design .
Approx 8.5cms x 7.5cms by approx 4cms in depth.
Black interior and bottom.
Good condition with slight signs of wear (see photos)
