This listing is for a beautiful pair of  vintage Japanese freshwater coin pearls. They are Japanese and from the mid 90's.  The nacre is thick and luminous. The pearls from Japan from the 90's were left in the mollusk for years.  The lengthy growth time produces a very thick nacre.  Today, the majority of freshwater pearls are from China and harvested more rapidly. Thick nacre is most desirable and will last generations.  The color is all natural.  The luster is beautiful.  They are front facing pearls with half-drill on the backside.  They are perfect for studs, rings, bracelets.
