Good Condition. There is overall crazing on the outside that I found with my 60x loupe but no flaking. The finish is smooth to the touch. I am not seeing any crazing inside the bucket but it probably has some. The wicker wrapped around the handle has a few dark spots. This is a very Mod style typical of the 1960s and this bucket has a wonderful glossy finish!
The bottom of the bucket has hand painted marks "172/2789" and a couple of other marks I don't know. There is a remnant of an old department store sticker. This piece was made in Denmark and originally sold in a store there. Research indicates that this was made for the Tenera Series that was started by Nils Thorsson in 1958. This piece is attributed to designer Inge-Lise Koefoed.
This ice bucket measures 4 3/4 inches or 12.06 cm at its tallest point with the handle down.
It measures 4 5/16 inches or 10.95 cm in diameter at the top rim.
It measures 3 1/2 inches or 8.89 cm in diameter at the foot rim.
Art pottery by Inge-Lise Koefoed is amazing! And hard to find out in the wild so you probably won't see it out thrifting. Believe me, if you find it cheap, grab it! This ice bucket can be found online but nobody you know will have one like it because it is pretty scarce!
