This week I'm offering a variety of collectibles, including trading cards as well as comics. In 1965, a new comics company showed up with an exciting new format and some impressive artwork. Tower Comics came up with the idea of doubling their offerings. In an era when comics sold for 12 cents, Tower sold their titles for 25 cents, in a double-sized format. Their flagship title was T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, featuring such imaginative characters as Dynamo, NoMan and Menthor. The superhero format was made particularly attractive because the artwork was provided by the great Wally Wood and his studio. Towers comics illustrators, besides Wood himself, included Steve Ditko, Reed Crandall, Gil Kane, Mike Sekowsky, Paul Reinman, George Tuska and other highly regarded artists. Unfortunately, Tower Comics failed to catch on and folded within a few years, but the titles and the characters are fondly remembered and are advidly collected. Here I have THUNDER Agents #10, dated November 1966! It's in acceptable condition overall, with the top third of the front cover missing, the back cover is loose and torn, and with off-white pages - see scans for condition. This would be a terrific addition to any collection! Shipping is $3.50 for First Class Mail, and I'll combine and discount shipping costs for multiple winnings. Payment is via PayPal only.
